About the widget
The Dashboard Navigation widget allows users to navigate between different dashboards they can access from the widget.
The widget is available in both the InfoDesk application and on embedded dashboards and is especially convenient on embedded dashboards where users can't access the navigation bar in InfoDesk.
When creating the widget, you can choose whether to display all dashboards or only a selection of dashboards. When the widget is added to a Dashboard, it is available for all users.
Prerequisites
Available in both the InfoDesk application and on embedded dashboards.
Available for all users when the widget is added to a Dashboard.
To create and add a new dashboard widget, you must have access to Dashboards.
To create and add a new Dashboard Navigation widget, you must have Owner or Writer access to the Dashboards you want to display in the widget. Only the Dashboards you have Owner or Writer access to will appear on the dashboard list on the New navigation widget form.
Users can only view the Dashboards they have been granted access to in the Dashboard Navigation widget. This means the widget will be empty for users without access to the selected Dashboards.
Preparations
Before you create the widget, ensure that the end-users have permission to view the dashboards you want to display. To check and update who can access a dashboard, open the Dashboard Edit form and select User Access.
When using SSO or Machine users for embedded dashboards, make sure that the SSO users or Machine users have access to the selected dashboards displayed on the embedded Dashboard Navigation widget.
