Single Sign-On (SSO) allows you to seamlessly access InfoDesk from your intranet without the need for a username and password. The user is not required to have an account in InfoDesk; it will be created automatically.
An automatically created user gets a random password. To log on with an email address and password, the user must first set a password using the Forgot password function.
InfoDesk supports SAML2 for SSO. SAML2 is not a specific piece of software, and InfoDesk Support can not help you determine which software to install and how to install it in your company's environment.
Rather, SAML2 is a standardized technical protocol supported by a range of software; the particular software you use is indifferent to InfoDesk, which only knows about the SAML messages sent between the systems.
When you have SAML2 support in place, the details in this help section should be sufficient to set up the link between your system and InfoDesk.
InfoDesk will not fetch information from your system; it only receives the sent SAML messages containing the first name, last name, and email address of the user navigating into InfoDesk. The network communication will be safe and protected by SSL.

The Admin module in InfoDesk contains Technical Specifications and instructions on how to set up an SSO integration. Superusers Admins have access to Admin.
