The banner widget allows you to add a graphic banner to enrich your Dashboard. The banner may contain a banner image or color, a logo, and optional text.
You can create shared widgets to make them available on several dashboards or create your widget on a specific dashboard only to make the widget available on that dashboard.
Select a Shared Banner widget
- Go to the Dashboard overview page and click on Go to Widgets.
- Click the blue New Widget button.
- Click the Banner tab in the top menu and then the Add button on the Banner Widget card.
Select a Banner widget on a specific Dashboard
- Go to the Dashboard overview page and click on a Dashboard card to open the Dashboard.
- Click the Manage Widgets button.
- Click the blue Add Widget button on the top right of the page and select where you want to position your widget. The position can be changed at any time.
- Click the Banner tab in the top menu and then the Add button on the Banner Widget card.
Configuring the Banner widget
You can customize your banner using the Edit Banner widget form.
The Dashboard banner size is dynamic and will adjust to fit different devices and screen sizes. As a result, there may not be an exact match between the preview and the final result after saving the image.
We recommend using a background color instead of an image for the Dashboard Banner widgets to ensure the best flexibility across various screen sizes and devices.
Name
In the name text bar, type the widget's name. The title will not appear on the banner but will help you identify the banner widget.
Main banner image
Click on the main image box to upload an image from your computer to fill out the banner background. We recommend cropping and saving the image at W1150 x H150 pixels before uploading it as a banner to achieve the best proportion and image quality. Alternatively, consider using an image ratio of 6:1.
You can also add an image from the image library and adjust its size by changing its height.
Click Find Image to open the free image service and search images in landscape format.
You can use the slider to adjust the height of the banner image, using the preview at the bottom as guidance.

Alternatively, select a Background Color instead of an image. Read more under Background Color below.
Logo image
Upload a logotype (preferably with a transparent background) to position on the banner.
Use the slider to adjust the size of the logotype and the positional buttons to position the logotype on the banner. Use the preview at the bottom as guidance.
Text
Compose an optional text to display on your banner. The position of the text will be adapted to the position of the logo.

Background color
Instead of selecting a banner image, you can choose a background color.
We recommend using a background color instead of an image for the Dashboard Banner widgets to ensure the best flexibility across various screen sizes and devices.
Click Background color and select any of the default portal colors, or click Custom color and use the slider to find a suitable color. You can also add the HEX, RGB, or HSL numbers to add a specific color.
Text Color
For the best result when using text on the banner, we recommend using a background color instead of an image. This option also enables a slimmer banner, leaving more space for other widgets.
Select a color for the banner text. You can choose any default portal color or click Custom Color at the bottom of the drop-down to select a custom color. Click the color box under Background color and use the pointer to find a suitable color, or add the HEX, RGB, or HSL color code numbers to add a specific color.
We recommend that you use light text colors on dark backgrounds and dark text colors on light backgrounds. Avoid text on images with many colors and details.
Preview the result to ensure the selected color is readable.
Press the Save button. The widget is now available to review on the Dashboard.
User Access:
