You can integrate and embed content from other platforms and applications in Wide Narrow.
This article explains how to embed an Outlook calendar on a Dashboard in Wide Narrow.
The embedded calendar can visualize relevant events, such as fairs and conferences, or when you and your team will present and publish reports and other deliverables.
These instructions apply to Microsoft Outlook calendars.
Step 1. Download the link to your Outlook calendar
- Sign into your Microsoft 365 account.
- Click the Outlook icon in the left menu to open the Outlook app. Then click on the gear at the top right of the page. At the bottom of the right menu - click on "View all Outlook settings".
- Under Settings: Click on “Calendar” and select "Shared Calendars".
- Under "Publish a calendar" – select the calendar you want to publish on the Dashboard and the proper permission settings for the calendar.
- Click the blue "Publish" button.
- Copy the calendar link.
Step 2. Embed the Outlook calendar on a Dashboard in WideNarrow
- Go to Wide Narrow and select Dashboard for the calendar.
- On the Dashboard: Click the more button (three dots) on the top menu and select "Manage widgets".
- Click Add widget and select the "Iframe" widget.
- In the Iframe widget "Content" field: use this Iframe code to embed the calendar:
<iframe src="add link to calendar here" scrolling="no" width="100%" height="700" frameborder="100%"></iframe> - Replace "add link to calendar here" with your Outlook calendar link.
- Write a suitable title for the calendar widget, e.g. "Key Event Calender" in the name field and Click "Save".
The calendar widget will be updated automatically as soon as the calendar in Outlook is updated.
User Access: Only Superusers with Owner permissions to a Dashboard can add and manage Dashboard widgets.
