The Workspace widget allows you to select and display workspaces on a dashboard. You may use the widget to promote particular workspaces to your users on the dashboard. When a user clicks on a workspace widget, the user is sent to the workspace and can read the workspace content.
Prerequisites
Make sure you have at least one workspace.
Workspaces used in dashboard widgets must have user access "Open". In the workspace edit mode, select the user access tab and select "open".
Add the widget
- Go to "Dashboards" and then open the dashboard where you want to add the widget.
- Click on Manage Widgets and then Add Widget. Select an area to position your widget in the drop-down (top, right, or left).
- Click the Workspace tab in the top menu and then click the Add button on the Workspace widget card.
Alternatively, you can click on Go to widgets on the dashboard overview page to create a shared widget.
Configuring the widget
- Name: The name you type will be the title of the widget on the Dashboard. Choose a name that explains what the user will see when clicking the widget.
- Workspaces: The workspace list contains all available/open workspaces. To display them in the widget, check the checkboxes for each workspace. Then, click the Add button to confirm your selection.
- Click the Save button. The widget is now available to review on the Dashboard.
