No, you cannot add attachments to newsletters for several reasons:
- Newsletters, including attached files, are more likely to be classified as spam.
- Adding attachments to newsletters may also increase the risk of unauthorized persons gaining access to files that may only be used for internal use or only should be accessible to certain people.
This also means that files added to posts and summaries in Wide Narrow do not follow the post or summary when added to a newsletter.
Our Recommendation: Link to files from the newsletter
To provide access to files from a newsletter in a secure manner, we recommend that you use the Add link function. The newsletter reader is then linked to the place, for example, your intranet, where the file you want to share can be found. Only readers who have permission to access the file's location can open the link.
1. Copy the link to your file
2. On the newsletter post: Click the edit icon (pen) to open the Edit post mode.
3. In the Abstract box: Place your cursor where you want to add your link.
4. Click the Add link icon and type the link title in the Link Title bar.
5. Copy the link to your file in the Link Target bar.
6. Click Save.
User Access: Superusers can have access to Newsletters.
