Introduction
The AI categorization is an AI assistant for post categorization, empowering super users to efficiently categorize posts using AI assistance.
The feature has many benefits. It speeds up the post-editing process, saving time and ensuring accurate categorization every time. The feature also speeds up the training of the AI categorizer without manual tagging. After a while, with enough repeated data, posts will be tagged automatically.
When editing posts, super users can select the AI categorization option on the post edit form, which will ask the AI to suggest taxonomy tags based on the wording of the article and how they match the portal’s taxonomy.
Where to find the feature
You will find the AI categorization feature in the Edit post form.
The function is available everywhere you can edit posts in a post list: in Inboxes, Search, Workspaces, Dashboard, and Contribute.
However, it is not available in posts added to or created in newsletters and reports.
How to activate the feature
The AI categorization feature is enabled on the General settings page in Admin by an InfoDesk System Admin.

How to use the feature
Getting started with this feature is incredibly easy:
- Open the post Edit form.
- Click the AI categorization button under Categories and wait for the AI assistant to return suggested tags. The AI categories will be displayed with AI sparkles together with the original categories on the Categories search bar.
- Review the suggested categories and remove any tags by clicking the cross buttons.
- Optional: Open the Categories dropdown to view your topic favorites and select additional tags from the taxonomy.
- Click the Save button to save your changes.
If you prefer keeping the original categorization instead of the proposed AI categorization, click the Cancel button.
After a while, with enough repeated data, posts will be tagged automatically.
GOOD TO KNOW
In the Edit post mode, AI-generated categories are identifiable by AI sparkles, while original categories have no symbol. After saving the post, the AI sparkles will no longer be visible on the categories.
If you prefer to keep the original categorization instead of the proposed AI categorization, simply click the Cancel button.
User Access
Superusers and Superuser Admins.
The AI categorization feature is available in portals where it is activated and is included for clients who have opted in to the entire suite of AI features.
