Introduction
The select AI prompt template feature allows Superusers to use pre-built prompts for the AI Copilot summarizing tool, which is available in your InfoDesk portal.
If you frequently use the same prompts when using the AI Copilot, the default prompt templates can be a great help. For instance, you might always want the AI Copilot to produce text in a different language, or you might ask the same questions or instructions repeatedly.
When using the AI Copilot, the selectable prompt templates are in the AI Copilot instructions drop-down on the AI Copilot side drawer.
Super Users can work with their InfoDesk Customer Success and Account Manager contacts to add multiple prompts and select which one is the default.

Prerequisites
The AI Copilot instructions drop-down will only be visible on the side drawer if any Prompt Templates have been created for your portal.

How to activate the feature
The AI Copilot feature must be activated on the general settings page in the Admin module.
No other activation is required if the AI Copilot is activated in your portal.

How to use the feature
- Click the Edit button to open the Edit post form.
- Click on the AI Copilot to open the AI Copilot sidebar. The AI Copilot will now generate and display a default summary.
- In the AI Copilot instructions drop-down menu, select a default prompt template. The AI Copilot will now generate a new summary based on the selected template prompt.
- If you are satisfied with the suggested summary, click the Copy, Replace, or Add button to add it to the post abstract field.
- If you are not satisfied with the AI-generated summary, you can select another prompt template or type your own instructions in the AI Copilot instructions text bar for the AI Copilot.
Where to find the feature
The feature is available everywhere the AI Copilot is available, including single posts and post summaries (multiple posts) in Inboxes, Dashboards, Search, Workspaces, and Newsletters. It also includes Contributions, the AI Copilot summarize feature in the headline section of Newsletters, and the first page of Reports.
User Access
Superusers and Superuser Admins have access to the AI Copilot prompt templates when set up.
InfoDesk System administrators can create customer-specific prompt templates for the AI Copilot and make them available for portal users.
