Introduction
Ask a question and let the AI Copilot generate an answer based on the content in posts matching your query.
When activated, the AI answer feature is an optional add-on feature available in Inboxes, Search, and Workspaces.
Note that it only works in combination with the AI search feature.
Where to find the feature
When activated, the AI answer feature is available between the search bar and the post list in Search, Inboxes, and Workspaces.
The default setting in your portal determines whether you will see the AI search and AI answer options directly or need to switch from Keyword search to AI search to access the AI answer feature.
Note that neither AI search nor AI answers are available on Dashboards.
How to activate the feature
The AI search and AI answer functions are optional add-on features, and portal preparations are required before activation.
You must enable AI search before you can use AI answers.
The features are available in Inboxes, Search, and Workspaces when activated.
To use the AI search and AI answer features, your organization must sign an AI Disclaimer Addendum to allow the use of these AI tools in your portal. After that, we will need to make some preparations, which may take up to three days before AI search and AI answers are up and running in your portal.

How to use the feature

Open your Inbox, Workspace, or go to Search.

If AI search is not the default setting, switch to it using the dropdown or toggle.

Turn on AI answers using the toggle (if not already on).
Note: AI answers will automatically turn on if you ask a question. -
Type your question in the AI search bar and press Enter.

The AI analyzes the most relevant content based on where you're searching:

Inboxes: Unhandled posts in the inbox

Search: All qualified posts

Workspaces: All content within the Workspace

You can refine the scope of the answer using filter options (e.g., categories, date range, source).

The AI will use up to 20 of the most relevant posts to generate a response.
- Each part of the AI answer includes inline reference numbers that link directly to the sources used. These references help you verify the origin of specific information in the answer.

If no suitable references are found, you'll see the message:
“Reference materials not located. Reformulate your question, or try broadening the scope.”
Next steps
When you receive an AI answer you want to use, you have the following options:
- Click the “Create Post” button to turn the AI answer into a new post.
- Click “Add to” to add the answer to a Workspace, Newsletter, or Report. The AI answer becomes a new post, using your question as the title and the AI response as the description.
- Click “Copy to Clipboard” to copy the AI answer for other uses.
- Click “Continue in Copilot” to open the answer in AI Copilot, where you can refine the response, ask follow-up questions, or expand on the topic.

In Inboxes: Superusers and Superuser Admins.
Available in portals where the feature is activated.
