When selecting widgets to a Dashboard in Infodesk, don’t forget to think about which widgets require that users have access to a specific object (newsletter, report, workspace) and which widgets are available for everyone without user access requirements.
Widgets available for all users without user access requirements:
- Banner
- Text
- Post list
- Charts
- Maps
- Word Cloud
- Top scoring posts
- Saved Search
- Comment
- Iframe (may have sign-in restrictions set outside Wide Narrow)
Widgets requiring that users have access to the objects shown in the widget
- Workspace
- Workspaces Post list
- Report
- Newsletter
- Subscriptions
- Benchmark
For objects requiring specific user access, click Settings > Edit > User Access on the object card and select “Open”, “User Group”, or individual “Users” to give users access to the objects in the widget.
User Access: Portal Admins and Superusers with Owner or Writer Access to a Dashboard can manage Dashboards and Dashboard Widgets.
