A dashboard from your InfoDesk portal can be integrated into an external website, e.g., your intranet.
For the integration to work, you need an authentication mechanism. There are two options:
- Single sign-on (SSO)
- Key authentication
SSO Authentication (recommended)
A prerequisite for SSO authentication is that a single sign-on (SSO) is set up between the external website and InfoDesk.
The user will be logged on with a personal account and can view content corresponding to the content the user has access to in InfoDesk. Therefore, various users will see different content on the same dashboard.
Read more about how to set up an SSO connection in InfoDesk Admin > SSO.
Key Authentication
A prerequisite for key authentication is that a dedicated dashboard user is set up with a generated key.
The person viewing the dashboard will be authenticated as a shared dashboard user and will have limited interaction possibilities. All persons viewing a key-authenticated dashboard will see the same content.
Read more about key authentication and how to generate an authentication key in:
InfoDesk > Dashboards > Settings > Embed dashboard > Key authentication > Generate Key
Support
Contact InfoDesk Support for help and more information about embedding your InfoDesk dashboards and displaying widgets from your portal's dashboards on other platforms and applications.
User Access
Superusers who are dashboard owners and Superuser Admins have access to embedding instructions and embedding features.
