How to configure and add a new Dashboard Widget

Wide Narrow Dashboards are composed of widgets. They are easy to create, add and manage.

You can create both “shared widgets” available for all Dashboards and non-shareable widgets to be used only on a specific dashboard.

To create a Shared Dashboard Widget:

1. Navigate to Dashboards.
2. Click on Go to Widgets at the top left of the Dashboard overview page.
3. On the Shared Widget overview page, press the New Widget button.
4. Select a widget type in the top tab menu and then press the Add button on the widget you would like to create.
5. Fill in the widget form following the instruction on how to configure a widget.
6. Press Save. The new widget is now available as a ready-to-use widget that can be added to one or several Dashboards.

To create a non-shareable Dashboard Widget belonging to a specific Dashboard:

1. Navigate to Dashboards.
2. Click the More button (three dots) on the Dashboard card and select Manage widgets.
3. Click the blue Add Widget button and select an area to position your widget. 
4. Select a widget type in the top tab menu and then press the Add button on the widget you would like to create.
5. Fill in the widget form following the instruction on how to configure a widget.
6. Press Save.

 Position and edit the widgets on the Dashboard administration page:

1. Move widgets to another position on the Dashboard by dragging and dropping widgets up and down or right/left. Or use the arrows to move widgets up and down.
2. Click the Settings icon (three dots) on the Widgets tiles to set the widget to half-width, embed a widget, or remove the widget from the Dashboard.
3. Click the Edit icon (pen) on the Widgets tiles to edit the widget and content.
4. Click the Done button when ready.

User Access:
All Superusers can create and manage Dashboards. Only Dashboard owners can add and manage widgets to a Dashboard.
