Wide Narrow Dashboards are composed of widgets. They are easy to add and manage.
Start by creating a framework for the Dashboard. Then add widgets to fill the Dashboard with content.
Create the Dashboard Framework
1. Navigate to Dashboards and click the New Dashboard button.
2. Enter the name and description (optional) of the Dashboard.
2. Choose an image for the Dashboard card from your desktop or find an image in the Image Library.
3. Tick the "Default for new users" checkbox if the Dashboard is the default dashboard for new users.
4. Click the Chart color tab to change or add new colors to the Dashboard's chart color scheme.
5. Click the User Access tab and add Owners to allow other superusers to edit the Dashboard and connected dashboard widgets. Add users or user groups as Readers to give them access to the Dashboard as readers.
6. Click Save. The Dashboard will now be automatically pinned to your menu.
Add widgets to fill the Dashboard with content
On the "Manage dashboard widget" page, you can fill your Dashboard with content by adding and positioning widgets:
1. Click the Add widget button in the top area to add a Banner Widget or any other widget you would like to position on top of the Dashboard.
2. Click the Add widget button in the left column to add a Post list Widget or any other widget you would like to position to the left on the Dashboard.
3. Click the Add widget button in the right column to add a Chart Widget or any other widget you would like to position to the right on the Dashboard.
4. Click the Add Widget button at the top right of the Dashboard page to add more widgets. Select an area to position your widget (top, right, or left), and then select the widget in the widget library.
5. Move widgets to another position on the Dashboard by dragging and dropping widgets up and down or right/left. Or mouse over the widget and use the arrows to move widgets up and down.
6. Mouse over a widget and click the More icon (three dots) to add more widgets, set the widget to half-width, embed a widget, or remove the widget from the Dashboard.
7. Mouse over a widget and click on Edit widget to edit the widget and its content.
8. Click the Done button to save the Dashboard.
9. Click the More button (three icons) and then Edit and tick the "Active" checkbox to activate the Dashboard. The new Dashboard will now be available for the users and user groups to which you have granted access to the Dashboard.
User Access:
Portal Admins and superusers with authority to administer Dashboards can create and manage dashboards and dashboard widgets. Only the Dashboard owner can manage the Dashboard's widgets.
