News Search Workflow

News Search is an add-on module that you can order for your portal in Wide Narrow.
When the module is added, it appears in the navigation bar directly under the Inbox tab. Note that the module is only available to superusers and not to end-users.

How to use News Search in Wide Narrow:

1. Navigate to News Search in the sidebar menu.
2. Enter a keyword in the search bar on top of the page. Use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) for a more specific search. Choose if you want to search everything, only title or title and description. By searching in title only, you get a more limited selection with increased accuracy. 
3. Use the Filter categories to the left to specify the search:
   • Select Time Period in the drop-down list.
   • Select Language or choose Any language.
   • Enter a name of an Organization and specify the name in the drop-down list
4. When the search result is displayed, you can narrow your search by clicking the filter buttons under each search category.
5. Once you have found an interesting article, you can either drag and drop the article from the post list to a Cluster, Newsletter, or Report OR use the Contribute button to add the information post to Wide Narrow Search or a selected inbox. When using the Contribute function, a new window opens with the possibility to edit the article:
   • Contribute to: Select Search or the inbox to which you want to send your contribution.
   • Edit headline and abstract. Add an image.
   • Add taxonomy categories to your post.
   • Click Save to save the changes and confirm the contribution.

User Access: Only Superusers have access to News Search.
