Google Alerts is a free notification service developed by Google that sends you an email or adds items to an RSS feed whenever any keyword or search term you specify is mentioned on websites indexed by Google.
To create a Google Alerts feed to your Inbox in Wide Narrow, start by signing in to Google Alerts and create an alert delivered as an RSS feed. Then go to Wide Narrow InfoLab and add the Google Alerts feed to your DIY Inbox in Wide Narrow.

Preparations in Google Alerts:
- Go to https://www.google.com/alerts and click the blue Sign-in button in the upper right corner of the Google Alerts page. Make sure you are logged in with the Google account you want to use.
- Type a keyword or the search term you want to follow into the bar "Create an alert about..."
- Click on Show Options to open the options dropdown menu. Inside the options dropdown menu, you'll be able to set alert options and where to have the alerts delivered.

- Select the frequency.
- Choose the type of sources. Delimit the search to a specific type of source.
- Select the language. Delimits the search to a specific language.
- Choose a region if you want to focus on specific countries or markets.
- Choose between "Only the best" and "Everything" to create a narrow or wide search.

- Select Deliver to: RSS feed.
- Click Create Alert.
- Click the RSS icon on the newly created alert. Copy the URL from the browser's address field.

In Wide Narrow InfoLab:
- Login to Wide Narrow and open your DIY inbox.
- Click the Settings icon (three dots) and select InfoLab.
- Click New Feed and select New Google Alerts Feed.
- Optional: Name the new Feed.
- Paste the URL in the URL field.
- Select the Target Inbox for the feed. Only applicable if you have more than one DIY Inbox.
- Press Save.

User Access: InfoLab and DIY Inboxes are available for all Superusers with access to Inboxes.
